It should be read together with our Privacy Policy, which describes how we process personal data more generally, and forms part of it.
By continuing to use the Platform, or by accepting cookies through our cookie banner where one is presented, you agree to our use of cookies as described in this Policy. You can withdraw or change your choice at any time (see Section 6).
1. What are cookies?
Cookies are small text files placed on your device when you visit a website. They are widely used to make websites work, to make them work more efficiently, and to provide information to the site owner. "Similar technologies" include local storage, pixels, tags, and software development kits (SDKs) that perform comparable functions. In this Policy, we refer to all of these as "cookies".
Cookies may be session cookies, which are deleted when you close your browser, or persistent cookies, which remain on your device until they expire or you delete them. Cookies may be set by us (first-party cookies) or by third parties acting on our behalf (third-party cookies).
2. Why we use cookies
We use cookies to keep you signed in, to remember your preferences, to keep the Platform secure, and to understand how the Platform is used so that we can improve it. We do not use cookies to collect sensitive personal data, and we do not use them to build advertising profiles about you.
3. Categories of cookies we use
Strictly necessary cookies. These are essential for the Platform to function and cannot be switched off in our systems. They include cookies that authenticate you and keep you signed in, that maintain your session, that support security features, and that remember your consent choices. Because these are required to deliver a service you have requested, they do not require consent under the PDPL, but we describe them here for transparency. Functional / preference cookies. These remember choices you make — such as language or display preferences — to give you a more personalised experience. Disabling them may affect how parts of the Platform behave.
Analytics / performance cookies. These help us understand how visitors interact with the Platform by collecting information such as pages visited and errors encountered, usually in aggregated or pseudonymised form. 5. Third-party cookies and service providers
Some cookies are set by the third-party service providers we use to operate the Platform, such as our hosting, authentication, and analytics providers. These providers act on our instructions under a data processing agreement and are only permitted to use the data to provide their service to us. Where any such provider stores data outside the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, we rely on the safeguards described in Section 6 (Cross-border transfers) of our Privacy Policy. 6. Managing your cookie choices
Where non-essential cookies are used, we ask for your consent through a cookie banner before setting them, and you can accept or reject those categories. You can also control cookies through your browser settings — most browsers let you block or delete cookies and warn you before one is set. Please note that blocking strictly necessary cookies will prevent parts of the Platform from working, including staying signed in. 7. Do Not Track
Some browsers send a "Do Not Track" signal. Because there is no common industry standard for how to interpret this signal, the Platform does not currently respond to it. We will revisit this position if a recognised standard emerges.
8. Changes to this Policy
We may update this Cookie Policy from time to time to reflect changes in the cookies we use or for operational, legal, or regulatory reasons. We will post the updated version with a revised "Last updated" date and, where changes are material, notify you through the Platform.
